MODEL CODE OF CONDUCT FOR STUDENTS

  1. विद्यांदयति विन्यं (Vidya dadati vinayam) - Keeping this in mind students should be very polite in their behavior and attitude towards others. They should always remember that the school is judged only by the behavior and conduct as shown by its students. Students should be watchful of their behavior and gestures inside and outside the school campus. Use of abusive languages, filthy/vulgar comments will invite strict punishment.
  2. All students should greet their teachers/staff members/visitors/guests with courtesy whenever they meet them.
  3. Bullying is strictly prohibited inside the school campus and no such act will be entertained.
  4. The medium of conversation in school premises should be strictly English.
  5. Students must come to school in neat and clean school uniform only. Wearing of very tight or short Uniform and fashionable shoes are strictly prohibited. They should maintain a sober hair cut. Colouring/dying hair and wearing of ear rings for boys is strictly prohibited. This rule applies even when they come to school for any purpose other than attending class. Scribbling on uniform or its improper wearing is punishable.
  6. It is mandatory for each student to wear STUDENT IDENTITY CARD during the school hours as well as his/her travel in the school bus. Non-compliance of it will invite a fine of Rs.200/- on each time. In case of loss/damage or change of card(s) due to some amendment, a written request signed by parents should be submitted to the class teacher immediately for issuance of a new one on payment of Rs.200/-. It is compulsory to deposit the card back to the class teacher at the end of the session.
  7. All students must come to school on time. The late comers will not be allowed to enter the school.
  8. No student is allowed to come to school in self-driven vehicle (car/motor cycle/scooter). Students come to school by bicycle should refrain from triple riding. Refer to CBSE Circular no. DE.23 (555)/Sch.Br./2014/1900 dated 03/11/16.
  9. Students come to school under the care of guardians/servants/private cars/hired rickshaw pullers should never leave the school campus before they arrive to take them back. In case of delay, they should report to the class teacher/school office.
  10. Those who commute alone must never roam around on the way but return home straight without delay.
  11. It is compulsory for students to wear Lab-coats/aprons during Practical periods, otherwise student(s) will not be allowed to perform the particular practical class. Simultaneously a fine of Rs. 100/- will be imposed.
  12. The SCHOOL DIARY is to be brought to the school by the student every day. It should be used only for noting homework and instructions & not for subject notes. A student will be asked to change the SCHOOL DIARY on tearing of any of its pages or improper maintenance. A fine of Rs. 100/- will be imposed for issuance of a new SCHOOL DIARY.
  13. Other than textbooks/library books, no books/magazines should be brought to school.
  14. No student should bring any weapon or sharp articles like scissors, knife, cutter, steel/metal bangles to the school.
  15. Bringing fireworks/bursting or extending any kind of support for exploding crackers or splashing colour or flying kite in the school campus and outside the vicinity of the school is strictly prohibited, even during festival time. Non-compliance of these instructions can result in expulsion from the school.
  16. The bell before the assembly is a signal for the students to attend the assembly. Students should join the assembly immediately after the ringing of the bell with proper discipline and return back to their respective classes as soon as the assembly is over.
  17. During periods no student is allowed to leave the class without valid out pass. Movements outside the classroom when the class is going on are strictly prohibited.
  18. Any kind of gathering/celebration/loitering outside the classroom or anywhere in and around the school campus purposelessly is not allowed. Change of classroom in between the period (where necessary) should be done in an orderly manner.
  19. Shouting, whistling, running, talking in/around the corridor is not allowed.
  20. No students will be allowed to go to the canteen during classes.
  21. Students are not allowed to bring personal sports equipment to school.
  22. It is not advisable to bring any valuable article like expensive watches, mobile phones, notebooks, laptops, tape recorders, cameras, or any other electronic gadgets and jewelry etc to school. It will be confiscated as soon as discovered and lump sum fine may be imposed on this. Moreover, in case of any loss, the school will not be responsible.
  23. Students are warned not to buy any eatables from the street vendors.
  24. Photograph in school uniform only will be accepted for attestation, in Identity cards.
  25. For availing the services of Medical Room, a student is supposed to get written permission from the concerned Class/Subject teacher in his/her SCHOOL DIARY.
  26. Students must submit any acknowledgment/consent form/class assignment or any other proforma to the concerned in charge within stipulated time.
  27. Utmost care should be taken to the school property. No one is allowed to scratch/break/damage any school belongings. Any damage done to the school property will have to be repaired by the concerned student(s) with a fine as imposed by the school authority for that damage. Damages done even by accidents should be reported immediately to the Principal/Vice-Principal/In Charge. Any student who notices something damaged should bring the matter to the notice of Class/Subject teacher even if he/she does not know who has done it.
  28. The school reserves the right to terminate any student whose progress in studies is unsatisfactory or whose conduct is a bad example for other children of the school.
